1. Re-Grind the Taper.

2. Turn the Housing.

3. Black Oxide the Housing (prevents rust).

4. Replace Drawbar Floater & Springs.

5. Update Spindle to latest possible revision.

ITS offers a reman, Fadal Grease Pack Spindle suitable for any Fadal Machine that uses Grease Pack type Spindles.  Our Spindles come complete with the Drawbar installed. The New Fadal Grease Pack Spindle has a polished housing.  The Spindle is one of the most important aspects of the machine and the ITS version, Fadal Spindle willl last a long time if installed and maintained correctly.

Spindle, 10K Air Mist, Locking Drawbar, REMAN

 

Spindles look the same on the outside but it's the inside that makes the difference! Few today realize that at Fadal, the development of the spindle was a continuous engineering process. By the time Fadal closed, over 15 different internal designs were produced, some designs better than others. When we repair a spindle at I.T.S., we update it to the best possible specification that its design version allows. The fact remains that not all repaired spindles can be "the same" due to design limitations.

Spindles can only be repaired so many times. As the metal fatigues, its hardness changes. They simply wear out and need to be replaced.
