Having been involved in the original design and production of the CNC88 hardware and software, we truly understand these boards, down to the component level and the requirements for properly repairing and testing all the boards we offer.
With over 18 years of production testing and repairing the CNC boards, there is none better experienced or equipped! We are the only company who can properly test and repair Fadal CNC88 boards! It requires component level testing to verify that each and every component is performing to original specifications.
Beware of old, used boards being simply pulled from a used machine and sold on-line. There are issues of compatibility many don’t realise. Over time there have been both software and hardware modifications to the boards.
Fadal CPU Boards, 1400-5C
CPU Board, 1400-5C (part number PCB-0030) for the Fadal CNC88 (HS) control has two component connections, such as 1. The software module (PCB-0159) required for operation and 2. The optional memory upgrade. With this board, your control will have the best speed and performance that is desired.

CPU Board, 1400-5C, Reman, PCB-0030R
The CPU Board, 1400-5C, Part number PCB-0030, is the Central Processing Unit of the CNC control. These CPU boards came with 38Kb of battery backed memory which is used to store CNC Part Program, Tool Data – both Length and Diameter, Fixture Offset Data, SETUP parameters, and Backlash. Later Fadal added 4mb, 8mb and 16 mb. of expanded memory.

8MB, Memory, 1460-4B
It is important to have an appropriate set up of boards in your machine in order to expand your memory, and if you do then it will be a drop-in easy installation.
With the 1400-5C CPU, 4 meg, 8 meg, or 16 meg expanded memory boards may be chosen. If the existing CPU is a 1400-5A, then it must be upgraded or replaced with a -5C to avoid compatibility issues, and V103.5 software should be used for optimal performance (attached to and located on the Fadal CPU).

Memory 16MB, 1460-4C
It is important to have an appropriate set up of boards in your machine in order to expand your memory, and if you do then it will be a drop-in easy installation. With Fadal’s development of the 1400-5C CPU’s came expanded meg memory boards. Previously, the maximum capacity of added memory was 384k.
